The beloved “Queen of Soul” and gospel singer Aretha Franklin departed this life in August 2018 at age 76. Thanks to her many recordings and film, we can still enjoy her powerful voice and commanding stage presence. Her inimitable role as the wife of Matt “Guitar” Murphy in the 1980 musical comedy megahit, “The Blues Brothers,” was described by Vanity Fair as a “pitch perfect appearance.” ***
