What did you find intriguing about this book?

Before there was a pandemic with a stay-at-home order, there was “A Gentleman in Moscow” by Amor Towles.

The novel begins in 1922 with Russian Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov being placed under house arrest for the remainder of his life in the grand Hotel Metropol, directly across from the Kremlin. With grace and humor, Count Rostov, who has never worked a day in his life, finds his attic accommodations and life at the Metropol a gateway to a much larger world of self-discovery.

What an inspirational, graceful and endearing way to weather our current situation!
